Cheese of the week – Kick-Ass Cheddar Cheese

At a recent food fair we tasted this amazing cheese and knew we had to share it with you. Kick-Ass cheese is the creation of husband and wife partnership Tim & Sue Procter. The Kick-Ass brand is part of Procter’s Cheeses based in the picturesque village of Chipping, Lancashire. The name Kick-Ass cheese came to be when Time and Sue were selling cheese at a farmer’s market in West Lancashire. A regular customer who loved Tim’s mature cheddar, came to the stall and asked for some of “that Kick-ass cheese”!! From that brief exchange the idea was born. The Procter family have been making cheese in Lancashire for over 80 years.

The week we have their full flavoured extra mature Cheddar with a gritty, crunch and a rich pronounced flavour. The texture is smooth and buttery, serve at room temperature. Coated in black wax. £4.50
